Sara Edens :: After 20 years of programming, Sara traded her computer for a yoga mat, discovering the many healing benefits of a daily yoga practice. Her goal as a teacher is to bring the same passion and peace of mind that she found through yoga to others in need of healing and reconnecting to their Inner Self, their inner wisdom. Sara's teaching approach is systematic, yet simplified with focus on healthy alignment principles and great emphasis on core strength and intuitive movement. She uses vinyasa flow combined with elements from Kripalu, Ashtanga, Anusara, Kundalini, and Yin yoga. Her classes slowly and safely build body heat while focusing the mind, working towards finding stillness of mind. Sara is a member of the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association. Her mantra - “It’s a yoga practice, not a yoga perfect!”

Karen Fagerson :: Karen danced professionally for many years, and her yoga practice and style of teaching reflects a love for creating fluid movement with the body. Allow the breath to be the music, and the focused flow of energy to be the supporting partner guiding you through your practice. She believes that as you develop a strong, supple body, and a centered, peaceful state of mind, your spirit will be free to move you gracefully on and off your mat.

Laurie Kane :: Take Yoga Classes…for ten years. This had been one of Laurie’s goals. Being interested in all types of fitness, Yoga seemed like the perfect balance of the physical and spiritual. After getting her family started, realizing her own gradual loss of flexibility and her need for relief from a hectic corporate schedule, she took her first Yoga class and fell in love. She believes that Yoga has made a dramatic difference in her life, helping her to feel more centered, open, and promoting a greate sense of freedom in mind and body. She would like to share this age–old tradition and help others experience the strength, flexibility and peace that Yoga brings.

Marlene Rucks :: Marlene loves teaching, unleashing a quality of playfullness in her students, leaving them empowered, strong and loving themselves. In 2005 she opened Nirvana Yoga Studio to bring together Yoga teachers with an inclusive and open minded style of teaching the traditional aspects of Yoga , from their own experience. Though her classes draw freely from a variety of styles and traditions, there is a consistent emphasis on natural awareness of breath, the ability to utilize asana as a practice for our life and listening to our teacher within. She wants to create a space for people to have fun in their bodies, honoring themselves, and reconnecting to the light that shines within them. It is a priviledge and a joy for her to be sharing this practice with others.

Lori Saltzman :: Lori has been practicing Yoga for 10 years. She became a Yoga teacher because of the difference that it made in her life, and wanted to share the experience with others. Lori focuses on keeping her students safe yet challenges them and guides them to explore new places in their bodies all the time following the movements of their breath. Her classes are filled with joy, celebrating life and the essence of all her students. Expect to be challenged and left feeling wonderful.

Julie Smerdon :: Julie is a certified Anusara Yoga instructor, who knows from experience the transformation brought about by a dedicated Yoga practice. After dabbling in Yoga in the 1990’s, Julie first became a serious student in 1999, when a medical crisis nearly cut her life short. Though Yoga, Julie learned that she could listen to and even love her broken body; and could trust its innate ability to heal. In 2002, she met John Friend for the first time and found her heart’s true home in the school of Anusara Yoga, with its life-affirming and passionate approach to both Yoga and life. Julie is blessed to have been able to study extensively with both John and Desiree Rumbaugh, and is eternally grateful for their gifts in her life. Her other teachers of note include love, loss, heart surgery and children; and she is thankful for the lessons they have imparted. Julie believes that teaching Yoga is a high calling. Known for her humor and enthusiasm, her passion in teaching is to empower her students, helping them embrace their bodies and use their perceived limitations to experience their limitless potential.

Henry Traum :: I assist in guiding individual's down their own path to strengthen, heal, balance, and connect with Spirit helping them evolve towards their authentic selves. Briefly, I had been personally practicing meditation with yoga since the early 1970's when I decided to teach yoga . For Yoga Alliance certification, I formally trained with Ana Forrest in 2002. Since then, I have taught in yoga studios, schools, resorts, retreat centers, health clubs, living rooms, and the outdoors!! Whether in private mentoring session, workshops, or group classes, I use as foundation classical 8 limb yoga that is over 2000 years old in tradition along with yoga postures, energy flow, and self- help inspirations from many varied styles and teachers.
